Focus & Scope

Al Mizan Law Review is an open-access, peer-reviewed academic journal published biannually in June and December by PT. Karya Riset dan Publikasi Indonesia (KRPI). The journal provides an international scholarly platform dedicated to the advancement of Islamic legal studies.

The journal welcomes high-quality research articles employing both normative-doctrinal and empirical approaches within the broad field of Islamic law. Its scope encompasses, but is not limited to, the following areas:

  1. Constitutional Law and Administrative Law
  2. Human Rights and Religious Freedom
  3. Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh)
  4. Islamic Legal Theory (Ushul al-Fiqh)
  5. Law in the Modern Muslim World (including legislation, codification, statutes, regulations, legal professions, and institutions)
  6. Comparative Law, Law and Religion, and Law and Society with particular relevance to Islamic law

Through this scope, Al Mizan Law Review aims to contribute significantly to scholarly discourse and the development of Islamic legal thought in both national and global contexts.
